Rural Education SIG - DRAFT Bylaws

The following was shared with the executive of the Rural Education SIG, but we wanted to get a larger round of feedback from the membership. Below is the message that John sent around and the documents for your review.

------------------------------------

My apologies for making this request so close to the end of the semester and right before the holidays. I have had a very busy semester, and didn't draft the Rural Education SIG bylaws nearly as soon as I had hoped to. I sent the attached draft bylaws, explanatory notes, and the message below on Dec. 3, and have so far received only one response, which was that everything looked fine. I have a deadline of Dec. 31 to submit SIG bylaws to the AERA Central Office, so that they can be voted on in the up-coming AERA online election. If you could possibly look over what I've written and make suggestions, it would be appreciated. I'll be working Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays for the next two weeks, so any suggestions received by Wednesday, Dec. 30 can be included.

Thanks, and happy holidays!
