EdWeek Blog on Urban Slant in Race to the Top

The EdWeek blog Politics K-12, "Is Race to the Top an Urban Game?" Bloggers Michelle McNeil and Alyson Klein write that some states may refrain from applying for Round 2 of Race to the Top funds. Largely rural states such as Vermont or North Dakota don't provide for charter schools, one of the competition's favored "innovations." Such states note that they would really like to do some good work with the funds but aren't sure how their more rural-inflected approaches would fare in the competition.
