Because the new stimulus monies will be disbursed according to existing federal formulas, and because Title I monies in particular are distributed based on formulas that tend to favor districts with large numbers (rather than high percentages) of low-income students, the funding disparities between rural and other districts are expected to increase. draft National Rural Education Policy Agenda has been released for review and feedback. The final draft will be considered for adoption by members of the Rural Education Working Group in April.
