New JRRE Website + Vol 23, no 1, Review of "Rural Literacies"
I want to alert you to the new Penn State website for JRRE at: www.jrre.psu.edu . As you may already know JRRE has moved, as of January 2008, from the University of Maine, where it has been housed for the past quarter century, to Penn State's College of Education, and the Center on Rural Education and Communities, where the journal is now under my editorship, with the able assistance of Associate Editors, Tom Farmer and Jackie Edmondson, Managing Editor, Erin McHenry-Sorber, and Assistant to the Editor, Trudi Haupt.
On our new site you will also find the first JRRE article published in 2008 out of the journal's new institutional home:
Edmondson, J., & D'Urso, A. (2008, January). [Review of Rural Literacies.] Journal of Research in Rural Education 23(1).
We have tried to maintain some of the look and the feel of the old website, while at the same time making new additions that I think will help strengthen the journal and increase its visibility.
These additions include:
- A complete searchable electronic archive of all published JRRE articles from 1982 to the present issue
- A side bar of "Featured Articles" with hyperlinks to the most recently published JRRE articles
- A "one click" subscribe/unsubscribe function
- Comprehensive guidelines for authors regarding the submission of empirical work as well as book reviews to JRRE
With best regards,
