The SIG Chair has also sent out an addendum to the Chair's Letter to the listserve and that is reposted below:
Addendum to the Chair’s Letter in last News letter
Folks, one of the persons I neglected to offer a special thanks to in my recent letter is our web master, Michael Barbour. Mike has done an outstanding job in maintaining the Rural SIG Web Site.
I am familiar with the web site of many organizations and I think ours is one of the very best – very rich in material and always up to date. We are very fortunate to have Mike in this role.
Mike, by the way, is near completing his Ph.D studies at the University of Georgia and will be taking a tenure track position with Wayne State University in Detroit in the Fall.
The success of the SIG depends on the work of all those involved and I am thankful for the work of all the officers and coordinators.
